Hollie and Ollie

“I don’t do weddings.” – that’s what I tell most people, most of the time. I used to shoot a lot of weddings, all digitally, but I found the whole process extremely stressful, so now I limit my nuptial documentation to close friends and the occasional, powerfully persuasive, client. A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of my good friends, Ollie and Holly French; it was a great weekend…from what I can remember, but all the essentials of a great wedding weekend were represented – Champagne, firearms, beer, fights and fine food.
All images were made using an Olympus MjuII compact and a Nikon F100 with 50mm 1.4G. Film is Kodak Portra 400 and Fuji Superia 400.

Next year, “I do do weddings”, but only on film – contact me for details or to book.

These are incredibly beautiful images, Phil, I think you’re going to be a very busy man next summer! Makes me want to get married just so you can do the photos 😉 X

Oh Phil, these are amazing! I must admit I had my doubts when I saw you wandering around all day with that tiny film camera! And I Googled you – I thought Ollie was joking when he said you’re quite famous…damn it! It was a pleasure to meet you though, you funny, beautiful viking of a man 🙂
